Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 June 2026
days2go ("we", "us", "our") builds a countdown application for iOS and Android and operates this website at days2go.app. We are based in Australia and we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
We collect as little as possible. Depending on how you use days2go, this may include:
- Countdown data you create (event names, dates, photos, colours). This is stored on your device by default.
- Account information, only if you choose to sign in — see "Google Sign-In" below.
- Basic device and diagnostic data needed to keep the app stable and secure.
2. Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google, we use Google's secure OAuth service to authenticate you. We receive only the basic profile information you approve — typically your name, email address and profile photo — to create and secure your account and to enable optional cloud backup of your countdowns.
We do not receive your Google password, and we request the minimum scopes required. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account security settings. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. How we use your information
- To provide the core countdown features of the app.
- To authenticate you and sync your data if you opt in to backup.
- To diagnose problems, improve reliability, and keep the service secure.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not access the contents of your photos beyond displaying the ones you add to a countdown.
5. Analytics & cookies
This website uses Google Analytics (gtag.js) to understand aggregate usage — such as page views, referrers and general traffic patterns — so we can improve the site. Google Analytics may set cookies and process usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. This applies to the website only and does not change how data is handled inside the days2go app.
You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's official browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
6. Data storage and security
Your countdowns are stored on your device unless you enable cloud backup. Where we do store data, we use reputable cloud providers and industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data at any time from within the app, or by contacting us. If you have signed in, you may request deletion of your account and associated cloud data by emailing us.
8. Children
days2go is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new "last updated" date.
